                     ( The Blessing of Rain )

             

  குறள்-14

                    ஏரின் உழாஅர் உழவர் புயலென்னும்

              வாரி வளங்குன்றிக் கால்.

              If clouds their wealth of waters fail on earth to pour,

             The ploughers plough with oxen's sturdy team no more.  

விளக்கம்:

                 மழை, வளத்தைக் கொடுக்காது குறைந்து விடுமானால் உழவுத் தொழிலை உழவர் இயலாது.

            If the abundance of wealth imparting rain diminish, the labour of the plough must cease.

பட விளக்கம்:

                 மழையின்றி பூமி, மரங்கள் காய்ந்து போனது

போன்ற காட்சி, உழவன் உழவுத்தொழிலை செய்ய இயலாது அமர்ந்திருப்பது அமைப்பு.
